Asylum is a PvE orientated guild on the European server Emerald Dream. We were formed at the start of The Burning Crusade by a group of friends and guildmates spanning several experienced raiding guilds. Our aim is to be a friendly, yet raid orientated guild, who are able to experience and conquer the game's toughest encounters.
As we have a fair few members from various guilds, some who have been guilded together, some who haven't. We would like to make it clear that Asylum is a fresh start for everyone. All past grievances should be buried. Any bad attitudes, or behaviour that is detrimental to the atmosphere and success of the guild will not be tolerated and we will come down heavily on both parties

Raiding
We aim to raid 5 days a week, Sunday-Thursday, 20:00-00:00 server time. Members are required to have atleast 70% raid attendance (~3,5 days per week). This is pretty easy to make, with just two raids during the week. If however, your attendance falls below 70% you will lose your raid preference for any other member before the raid begins.
Are you unsure of something? Ask questions!
We don't expect you to know everything about every encounter the moment you begin raiding with us. Everyone had to learn at some point. Asking questions is a good thing. Your group members and other members of your class (who may well have a class channel for you to join), will be able to help you, and will save the raid leaders/officers from being distracted. Asking shows initiative, willingness to learn and reflects well on yourself, don't be afraid!
AFKs & Outside Raiding Hours:
If you are not able to attend a raid or if you know you will be late we require you to post so in our announcement forum so we know who will not be online.
Whilst we have a raid end time listed please be aware that on odd occaisions we may continue past 00:00. We don't expect this to be a regular occurance. If this does happen we encourage people to do their best to stay until the raid ends.
Ouside of raiding hours it is encouraged for guild members to group with each. Be it for questing, instances or farming. It not only allows people to be prepared, one way or another, for raids but also allows everyone to get to know each other better!
Aside from obviously playing WoW, PvPing, farming and grouping outside of raid hours. Our members also play a variety of other games together, such as Counter Strike, Team Fortress, Civilisation, various Xbox Live titles and hopefully some of the upcoming games! We also have a Ventrilo server for random chat during and outside raiding hours.
